Sustainability Is Our Responsibility to the Planet

At COFICAB, we are strongly committed to protecting natural resources, including water, air, soil, fauna, and flora, and to safeguarding the well-being of people and communities.

We work daily to minimize our environmental footprint, promote circularity, and align our operations with global climate goals, taking into consideration quality or innovation from the design phase. We place a special emphasis on energy and water, our most critical resources.

Our Decarbonization Goals

Our climate strategy is aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and supports the objectives of the Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C. It reflects our commitment to drive measurable emissions reductions across our operations and value chain, without compromising quality or innovation.

Net-Zero Target: Achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050.

Near-Term Targets (2030): Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% from a 2020 baseline and decrease Scope 3 emissions by 51.6% per thousand km of cable produced within the same timeframe.

Long-Term Targets (2050): Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90% from a 2020 baseline and cut Scope 3 emissions by 90% over the same period.
